Natural fibers such as cotton and abaca (the leaf fiber from musa textilis, a tree in the banana family) woven by hand on non-mechanized looms make up the items shown here. Abaca is ideal for bags, cushion covers, and placemats due to its nonabsorbent nature and durability. Cotton for hand towels and napkins become quite soft and lustrous over time and washing. Both fabrics can be machine washed. We recommend air drying for the abaca and a light-cycle for the cotton.
